On Sunday we took a little hike in the woods to get some updated photos for my sweet mother-in-law Lynne. As far as tripod/self-timer family photos go… they’re not too bad! Haha.

 Here’s all of us… hubby, me, Lynne, my brother-in-law Deren and his beautiful girlfriend Liesel with the three pups!

Last week I did a mentor session with Courtney of Day Photography & Co.- she and her photographer hubby make a great duo! The closer we got to her session, the more I realized we had in common! Photographer, wife, newlywed, Christian… and we live in the same neighborhood! Small world! I enjoyed getting to know Courtney over coffee, and then we met up with my awesome clients and friends Kayla and Pat who modeled expertly for us. :) We did the shooting portion of our session over at Mission Trails, a location Courtney and I both shoot at often. The light was beautiful that evening… I love the images we captured.

Kayla and Patrick are traveling with us up to Grass Valley, CA at the end of May to model for me AGAIN! Can you say best clients ever? And get this… Kayla is making a NEW wedding dress for that session! I’m so excited!!! She is so stinkin’ creative (if you don’t remember their Empire Mine wedding, check it out here).

I had the privilege of photographing this beautiful lady (and her adorable pup) a week or so ago- Crystal is the eyes and the brains behind CK Dawn Photography. She did a mentor session with me last year, and I’m so glad I’ve got to know her! She was looking for some new headshots/lifestyle shots for her brand spankin’ new blog (it’s awesome- go check it out!). We did a mini-session in Point Loma near her adorable house- it’s more like a dreamy little cottage- it’s so cute! Crystal- I had a great time hanging out with you (and Bubba)! You are a great photographer! :)

You’ll remember this beautiful couple from their Pala Mesa wedding last summer… and although little Saylor was in a few of the pictures, I believe this is her first *official* debut to the blog! :) Katrine and Johnny- you have such a darling little girl! I had so much fun chasing her busy little body around. :) I can’t wait til you guys have more… ;)
