Hello! We are Erica & Deven Schneider. Here’s our story:
I, Erica, fell in love with photography when I was a teenager, shooting hundreds of rolls of film for my high school’s yearbook. I acquired my first professional camera when I was eighteen (thank you, Dad) and have been growing my business ever since. I never cease to learn.
Deven and I met in 2005 and married in 2008. He is the love of my life and I enjoy every year of marriage with him more than the year before. We promise to stay married for as many days we have on earth.
We are self-employed entrepreneurs and together we run several businesses. We love the outdoors; we love to camp, travel and explore our great country. We are pretty simple, country folk and dream of living on a ranch with acres and acres of land. We love to grow our own food and enjoy local, organic, homegrown meals. We love to ride dirt bikes, hike backcountry trails and spend time in the quiet wilderness. We are also a little obsessed with our black lab, Denali and, most importantly, we are extremely thankful for this blessed life we have been given by God.
Deven plays an invaluable role in our studio in the form of second-shooting, location scouting and providing manpower in most of our styled shoots. As the primary photographer, my style of photography is always evolving, as is any artistic expression. I love creating timeless images that truly represent human relationships- whether that is quiet and peaceful or energetic and passionate. Because of my love for nature, I am particularly drawn to creating images in nature, with a natural feel and using natural light and real-life colors.
In late 2012, I returned to my film photography roots and now all of our portrait and engagement sessions are shot on film using a Nikon F100 and a Contax 645. Our weddings are photographed using a combination of film and digital. You can view my most recent film work here.
